Get involved!

Living Life to the Fullest runs from April 2017 until March 2020, so our research is in its very early stages. At the moment, we are looking for disabled children and young people and their families to participate, as co-researchers, artists and interviewees.

In Living Life to the Fullest, we want to ensure that our research is as flexible as possible – that participation is shaped and adapted to fit around the needs and desires of young people and their families. In this spirit, the links below offer a flavour of each role, which can be tailored to fit individual needs and commitments.

How can I get involved?

  • Co-researcher: We are seeking five disabled young people (14+) to become co-researchers on the project and join our Research Management Team. Please click here for more information.
  • Artists: We are seeking 10 young disabled people (8 – 30 years) to participate in an Arts Retreat. Click here for more information.
  • Parent and Family Interviewees: We are seeking 25 parents, carers and/or wider family members to participate in an interview. Click here for more information.
  • Young Interviewees: We are seeking 10 young disabled people (8 – 30 years) to participate in an interview. The interview can take place face-to-face at a venue of your choice or online (e.g. through Skype, MSN, or Facebook Messenger).

If you have any questions or require a more accessible copy of any the above documents (e.g. for younger children and/or in Easy Read) don’t hesitate to get in touch: k.liddiard@sheffield.ac.uk
